Confessions of a Superbroker

Right now there's a striking writer out there reading Max Abelson's interview with Dolly Lenz. Struck with inspiration, he or she will write a screenplay based on Lenz. The character will be a combination of Gordon Gekko, the pre-memo-writing Jerry Maguire and Alec Baldwin's Glengarry Glen Ross monologue. At the beginning of the third act, the Lenz character will undergo a moment of clarity. She will realize that in a world where the only certainties are death and taxes, the space between four walls means nothing. She will reconnect with her children. She will finally understand why her client Dennis Kozlowski was a bad person for ruining people's lives while an ice sculpture of Michaelangelo's David pissed out vodka at his wife's $2 million birthday party. She will cry. [NYO]
