On the Racked: Attack of the Snowpeople, Barney's Goes Green, Porno in Soho, Bleaker on Bleecker

And now, the latest from Racked, covering retail and shopping from the sidewalks up.

1) Midtown: Yes, it's that time of year and Racked has an "In the Holiday Windows" series that will be showcasing some of the city's more interesting displays. The "holiday season isn't just about conspicuous consumption," Racked writes. "It's also about showy trimmings—brightly-printed wrapping paper, glossy ornaments, strings of lights." One of this week's highlights, natch, is the Saks windows. Check out the Snowpeople.

2) Upper East Side: The holiday windows series continues with the very, very cool green (as in eco-friendly) holiday windows at Barney's. Check them out.

3) Soho: Is this porno-like billboard at West Broadway and Grand that is ostensibly for American Apparel, real or fake?

4) West Village: Anyone wondering if Bleecker Street has formally become a mall now has the final piece of evidence. The RackedWire reports that the former Condomania space at 351 Bleecker Street is becoming a Sunglass Hut. Seriously.
