Upper East Side Deathcore Scene, Population: This Guy

New, 18 comments

When the blogger behind Upper East Side site 78th and 2nd stumbled on a Craigslist ad advertising the services of a hardcore/deathcore vocalist on the UES, he did what any sensible blogger would have done: ask the dude just what the hell he's doing on the Upper East Side. The resulting interview is priceless:

What's the UES side scene like?

"Well for someone into death and hardcore, the upper east side isn't a great place to be. There's too many stuck up preppy kids, and not enough people into the metal. I advertise that I'm on the Upper East Side, but I never get responses for people on the upper east side. Most of the time the people are in Brooklyn or Queens. Queens has always seemed to have a good metal scene in terms of unsigned bands."If someone out there doesn't make "for someone into death and hardcore, the upper east side isn't a great place to be" t-shirts by the end of the day, we've lost all faith in the Internet.
