TRIBECA?When last we heard from former Development Du Jour 88 Leonard, it was in the context of an "affordable rental lottery." We are happy to present an update about how life at the building is coming along, coutesy of a special correspondent: "I wound up at 88 leonard last night for about 20 minutes. the place is a brand spanking new dorm in tribeca. besides the affordable rentals, everyone in the building has to be under 25. It seemed like a murray hill building. The apartments are very blah boxes with standard pseudo nice finishes. The best part - the walls are paper thin. The person's who's apartment i was in said she had heard her neighbors going at it last week, and when I was walking out, we heard the same exact thing. Sure the people were loud, but a semi-solid wall should muffle some sound. No sir." [CurbedWire Inbox]

GRAMERCY?Is marketing via gmail a good sign or a bad sign for Gramercy by Starck? We don't know, but it's certainly interesting to see the luxe building on E. 23rd Street showing up that way. A tipster who found the ad writes, "Why do they need to advertise in my gmail?? just wondering." [CurbedWire Inbox]

CHELSEA? Look like W. 26th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues is quite the spot for hotel development. Per a tipster: "We went to an open house for a condo at 150 26th Street (between 6th and 7th) and the broker (Halstead) told us the apt would lose two windows because the building next door, ready to be demolished any day now, will be a hotel. Later that week, a merchant on the block told me that the almost completed building on the north side of the block (120ish) is going to be a hotel AND that a barely-townhouse-width lot that stands empty is the future site of a hotel (and mentioned it might be billed as NYC's narrowest hotel). Three hotels on this one little block in Chelsea of all places???" [CurbedWire Inbox]
