The noise coming from One Brooklyn Bridge Park is the hissing sound of major deflation. Former New York Jets star Curtis Martin, who was previously reported to have a contract in hand for the triplex penthouse at 1 BBP, isn't going to be buying after all. The Post, which also reported back in September that Martin was buying the most expensive apartment in Brooklyn, conveys the balloon-popping never mind today: "The retired NFL running back has decided not to buy the borough's most expensive apartment - a $7.25 million waterfront penthouse with staggering views of Manhattan, a Jets spokesman confirmed Friday. No reason was given." Until a new suitor willing to open up the checkbook comes along, it looks like the Brooklyn price champion will still be the $3.8 million penthouse at the Aurora in Williamsburg.
