On the Racked: Dell Tries Being Cool, Crocs Invade UWS, Duane Reade Ruins Christmas, More

New, 10 comments

And now, the latest from Racked, covering retail and shopping from the sidewalks up.

1) Central Village: Finally, PC users get a cool store. Even if it's a temporary popup. Racked has the goods on the new Dell shop on Broadway between 11th and 12th. There's no glass staircase, but, unlike that other cool new store, there's a bathroom.

2) Upper West Side: The Crocs have invaded with a shiny, new Crocs flagship on Columbus Avenue. It is "filled-to-bursting with all types of Crocs." All types, friends.

3) East Village: Leave it to Duane Reade to ruin Christmas with a "compost pile for damaged bags of cotton and dying house plants." Nasty.

4) LES: Yes, the Steven by Steve Madden store at Ludlow and Rivington Streets is now open: "Nail in coffin, people, nail in coffin."
