The Carroll Gardens Hell Building (formally known as 333 Carroll Street), which has thrilled neighbors with infernal construction-related things and, more recently, a plague of rats, is back. To refresh the memory, the Hell Building has a big penthouse growth on top and comes from the architectural studio of Robert Scarano. It was stopped earlier this year after there were questions about the project plans. Yesterday, neighborhood blogger Pardon Me for Asking found that permits for the Hell Building had been reissued by the Department of Buildings a few days ago, so it looks like those penthouse floors will be even more visible from all around. On the bright side, the resumption of construction probably means the rat problem will be brought under control.
