FORT GREENE?We don't know if it has anything to do with all that new momentum in the BAM Cultural District, but the Forté Condo has added some color, offering some competition to the lights of Dumbo and the weird lights at Schaefer Landing in Williamsburg. The tipster who shot and sent these photos notes: "I was on my way home last night in Fort Greene Brooklyn and I noticed that the Forté had added a light show to the top of their building?" UPPER WEST SIDE?A tipster brings our attention to 2 Lincoln Square, and its offer a month's free rent. He writes: "I used to live in this building. It is a fancy rental building in a neighborhood that's only getting fancier. Commands premium rent, in my experience. Brooks Brothers just opened next door. Why, then, are they offering a free month's rent? Is anyone else seeing such offers?" Both are very interesting questions. The free rent offer is buried within the listings. [CurbedWire Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG?When we last checked on Urban Green on N. 6th Street, it was to note a shack that was spewing exhaust fumes 24-hours-a-day and the development's use of a painted-over Banksy work down the block in its marketing material. We return because it recently literally turned green (at least, before the cold weather took care of the issue). A special Williamsburg correspondent notes of the development's name: "Green as in algae? After months of filling in and excavating the hole, this is what I saw a few days ago when I went by. I'm sure there's perfectly benign and environmentally friendly reason for all of this." Sadly, prime algae season is already past. [CurbedWire Inbox]
