CurbedWire: Gramercy by Starck's Glass, Beaver Bashing

GRAMERCY?How is it possible that a building designed by Philippe Starck and marketed by SHVO could fly so under the radar? Oh, it's on 23rd Street between First and Second Avenues. Yep, that'll do it. Anyhoo, at right is the nearly complete facade of Gramercy by Starck, and after the jump is a much bigger picture of said facade. We're starting to understand that whole "upper tier wedding cake design" thing. Uptown views must be, as our bankers friends would put it, siiiiick. No word on how many of the 207 units remain on the market. [CurbedWire Inbox]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT?We haven't had a nice kvetch in a while. Here's one FiDi-ite's take on William Beaver House: "That building is 13 different types of suck. I should record the noise from the construction, and play it on loudspeakers for the new tenants when they move in. It would be nice to share with them the noise and headache that their building has caused the neighborhood." [CurbedWire Inbox]
