We're accustomed to mentioning Steiner Studios of late in connection with its real estate development work, like the demolition of this building in Williamsburg, and to talking about the Brooklyn Navy Yard in connection with the impending demise of these historic buildings. Today, there's word that Steiner Studios is planning a huge expansion at the Navy Yard and will expand its studio space to 600,000 square feet by renovating a seven-story building. The addition will, apparently, create a "full blown media campus" in Wallabout. We'll refrain from cracking a joke about how they'll be able to recreate the Old Dutch Mustard Building or Admiral's Row on one of their soundstages.
