Rumblings & Bumblings: 52 Watts Rising

If it's Tuesday, and there's development, there'll be Rumblings & Bumblings. If you've got an answer to one of the reader queries below, leave a note in the comments. If you've got another question, or a sweet, sweet digital photograph, drop a line to tips@curbed.com. Answers Thursday.

1) No. Tribeca: The tipster who sent the above photograph of 52 Watts St. writes, "I've been watching with enthusiasm as this building has been erected with great progress...I'm not sure what this building is going to be except that I found reference to a restaurant project under construction for this address and...the call for union picketers to appear at this site. Rumors in the neighborhood are that it is a hotel but this block between Varick and 6 Avenue is solid tunnel traffic with no place to park so who knows.? Any hints???"
2) Upper East Side: A reader asks, "Has anyone sent in any info regarding Solow's new residential development next to his existing rental building at 420 East 61 St. Friends of mine are considering expanding their apt. at 440 East 62 St. They face South and are afraid that Solow's building is going to block their views/light." This have anything to do with Tramway Plaza?
