Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Martha's Turkey

1) When trying to sell a celebrity's home, do you respect their privacy, or do you try to capitalize on their star power by marketing it using their name? In the case of Martha Stewart, she was pimped out like a two-dollar hooker, but it didn't work: her Westport estate was just pricechopped from $8.995 million to $4.5 million. She's dividing her Turkey Hill Farm estate into two parcels, and trying to sell the half that includes the nine-room main house, guest house, pool and gardens. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]

2) Actor Tim Blake Nelson doesn't need your Tribecas or your Sohos or your Park Avenues?heck no! He'll take this $5 million penthouse on the Upper West Side, and he'll be very happy about, thankyouverymuch. [S. Jhoanna Robledo/Movers]

3) Park Slope golden boy Noah Baumbach, an occasional Wes Anderson writing partner who got an Oscar nomination for The Squid and the Whale, is expanding his empire with wife Jennifer Jason Leigh. The couple, who live at 43 Fifth Avenue, just paid $1.26 million for their neighbor's co-op. Holly Hunter also lives in the building. [Max Abelson/Manhattan Transfers]

4) That deal in place for Russell Simmons' oft-chopped Liberty Street triplex? It's apparently kaput, because big Russ is leasing it out to a Westchester family. This is the same apartment that Sean "Diddy" Combs was scheduled to close on, but then 9/11 had the audacity to interrupt the proceedings. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
