1) Lower East Side: A tipster snapped another angle of the pending blackout over Katz's Deli thanks to 188 Ludlow, noting the pic was taken Friday "at the 2nd Avenue stop of the F train at Houston and Bowery. Soon to be plunged into darkness for the AM commute. I am grateful that they built right over the John Leguizamo ad." (Bonus points given for including the Tower of Mordor in the shot.) 2) Upper West Side: A Curbed reader checked out the Floorporn-a-riffic Apple Condos over the weekend and was unimpressed with some of the finishes. The on-the-ground report: "Go checkout the hallway carpet. I think they let the construction workers pick out the hallway carpet b/c there is no other way to explain the clash against the green marble at every apartment's doorway. I am an architect and think the floorplans are great, but this distraction makes it tough to focus on the units." [CurbedWire Inbox]
