After being forced to close to make way for new condos, an almost move to John Street, and several losing battles with Community Board 1 and the SLA, it looks like proprietor Ross Provenzano and Buster's Garage has finally found a new home at 21 West Broadway. The Garage will lease 10,000 square feet over the bottom two floors, with the second being reserved for private parties. The application passed unanimously when Community Board 1 realized there were no residences anywhere near the new location. Go figure.
However, the new location = new Busters, with new manager Matthew Miluk saying, “We’re doing something along the lines of Buster’s, another eclectic mix, but it’ll be a little more upscale, with a more corporate dynamic.” Construction begins this month. Praise Jesus.
