While you were busy prepping your famous seven-layer dip on Saturday afternoon, a fire broke out at 200 Chambers, the 30-story Resnick-developed condo building that's been less than well-received. Sez the StreetEasy board post, "There are about 15 fire trucks at the building. It smells like it is an electrical fire. Smoke was pouring out of the side where they have the construction elevator installed, and many of the windows in the lower floors. Too bad, they had already hired lobby staff and looked as if they were getting close to completion." To which a sympathetic StreetEasy commenter repied, "I guess no open houses here tomorrow!" Zing! Anyway, it might have smelled like an electrical fire, but this was clearly the work of enraged English teachers.
