It's been a while since we took a look at the Williamsburg development site we call the Roebling Oil Field. Billyburg's oil field is located at Roebling and N. 11th and is the future site of a development called McCarren Park Mews (a stone's throw from Karl Fischer Row). Part of the site already has a foundation, so the oil oozing from the ground is now covered. Oil lovers, though, can still catch the heady aroma of Black Gold on the west end of the site, which looks like it's giving up even more petroleum than the east end. All in a day's environmental remediation, people.
