Lowdown: What to do with an Upper East Side rental building that once advertised "radio outlets in each room"? Convert as many of the units as you can to luxury condos! Per the PR spew, "Like the historic townhouses that define the neighborhood, Diamond House condominiums offer spacious homes with expansive sunken great rooms. Kitchens are bordered by breakfast alcoves and dedicated dining areas." (More units in the building will be converted to condos as they become, ahem, available.) The renderings on the project's official site don't blow us away (suggestion caption for the above: "Where the residents are as stiff as their renderings"), but this place is talking all the right appliances and such to make you the envy of your neighbors still living in the radio age.
