The High Line Festival?er, the H&M High Line Festival?is, according to its website, a "10-day festival [that] will take place in venues along the High Line, New York City's biggest and most prestigious public works project in over 50 years." The High Line must be growing behind our backs, because those venues somehow include Irving Plaza, Madison Square Garden, Hammerstein Ballroom and Radio City Music Hall. So what's the connection to the actual High Line? "A portion of all proceeds to benefit Friends of the High Line," 'natch. No word if that means the actual group, or just, like, homeys of the festival's organizers.
