A quick glance at the website for new Soho development 40 Mercer shows that architect Jean Nouvel's glorious glassy boxes have sold out. From the look of things, folks should be moving in any time now. While the outdoor garden still needs some work (to say the least) the faux garden in the lobby is there for all to see. And those trees should please that rambunctious little Jacques to no end.

By day this space might be all light and airy, but when the sun starts to set the lobby looks like something out of Pan's Labyrinth. Very dark and spooky. Just the place for Jacques et Jill to have a little rendezvous.
