Rumblings & Bumblings: Village Corner, 85 Broad

If it's Tuesday, and there's development, there'll be Rumblings & Bumblings. If you've got an answer to one of the reader queries below, leave a note in the comments. If you've got another question, or a sweet, sweet digital photograph, drop a line to tips@curbed.com. Answers Thursday.

1) Greenwich Village: A reader writes, "The lot on the SE corner of Carmine and Varick has been empty forever (you know, the one across the street from that crazy sharp-cornered condo that's going up). Any idea what's going on with it?"

2) Gramurray: In October, we presented purported renderings for a hunk of development love at the corner of 23rd and 3rd (right). Thirsty for more, a reader writes, "Any news on this? Seems like it is flying under the radar."
3) Williamsburg: "What's going on at the corner of Powers Street and Union Avenue in
Williamsburg? I see that demolition has commenced of a wide, single-story brick garage. There are rumors of a twelve-story condominium building to be erected on the site that would truly dwarf the surrounding neighborhood. Can anyone confirm this? Renderings?"
4) FiDi: Finally, a reader asks, "I continue to hear about the potential of living downtown in FIDI. However, in my view, one huge open question remains?what will happen to 85 Broad St. when Goldman Sachs relocates to its new HQ at ground zero? Any thoughts?"
