Last seen at One Hanson Place, Magic Johnson is coming to Greenpoint. His Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund is putting $12.4 million into the 110 Green Street Condominiums. It's a six-story building from Meltzer/Mandl with 130 units that will have, among other things, a 360-foot window of colored spandrel glass, plus staffed playroom, a public roof terrace and pool. It's also had some issues during the the destructoporn phase, but we're sure that it will become a model project now that it's got the Magic Touch. This is Magic's third Brooklyn investment and he says, "We are believers in Brooklyn as a place that is economically growing, healthy, entertaining and the place to be." Safe to say its Greenpoint's first spandrel glass, but probably not the last.
