On the Racked: From Sacco to Ford, Openings Galore

And now, the latest from Racked, Curbed's new blog covering NYC's shopping scene from the sidewalks up. In this edition, openings-a-plenty!

1) Soho: Where the glory that was Cybele once nourished Prince Street, British designer Karen Millen is prepping her first NYC outpost (above, with funky street art display). Also on the way in the neighborhood: an "Apple-Store-type" flagship store from wireless phone purveyor Helio.

2) West Village: With help from Amy Sacco (albeit not from Mother Nature), restorwear boutique Miguelina opened today at Bleecker and West 10th. At last, a moment of hope for the corner so painfully robbed of its condoms and sex toys.

3) Upper East Side: Brace: Tom Ford on Madison opens tomorrow.

4) Carroll Gardens: Workout center The Pilates Boutique is open and toning Brooklynites as we speak. You can't just drop in; call to set up an appointment. The clientele seems pretty tony, as the place's website touts testimonials from a Kate Spade employee as well as someone who works at Goldman Sachs.
