Yesterday's CurbedWire included a cryptic report from a tipster about a recent demolition on the corner of First Avenue and East 5th Street. An alert reader points us to the first plans for the site we've seen, on the website of architect H. Thomas O'Hara. Sayeth our tipster, "75-81 First Ave has a couple of so-so quality renderings, though the montage with rite-aid is quite special. I guess they really wanted to celebrate their parasitic looming over a shitty pharmacy." And do read the prose snagged from the O'Hara site and superimposed on the above renderings carefully—it's also quite special in its own right.
