It's day two of construction in the 91st-96th Street corridor for a little project known as the Second Avenue Subway. After yesterday's orange cones and flimsy traffic barriers, we're getting down to business today with Jersey barriers and chain link fences. Oh, it's going to be a glorious decade on the Upper East Side! As a commenter noted last night, "there are chain link fences running through the middle of the sidewalk, so it's not just the two lanes of traffic that will be out of commission. How many years is this going to be going on?"
