It's been awhile since we checked in with 163 Charles Street, the "mini-Meier" three-unit development going in directly behind one of Richard's glass West Side towers. Since last summer, construction has moved along, marketing of the project has been given over to Elliman, and the 4,000 square foot "Glass Townhome within a Townhouse" duplex is on the market for $5.499 million, just about what we forecast last summer. (Go figure.)
But that's not what captivates the tipster who sent along the above image. From our inbox: "I took some photos of the back of 163 Charles. As you know this building has had a notorious beginning but I found it interesting how they built out the rear balconies to peek around the Meier towers and there is enough of a view down Charles Lane for great sunsets."
