Time Out's Apartments issue is out this week, and besides all of the entertaining and informative stories (obvs) our favorite thing about it is the pages and pages and pages of snazzy development ads. It's like dozens of back-to-back, full-color mission statements from marketers trying to explain whether a building should be for young people or old people. "You were never one to follow the herd," "Stylishly proper," etc. But there, buried in the Museum Listings section, one particular half-page ad caught our eye. It's for none other than the Court Street Lofts. Oh, this is how we're supposed to get our news about you, Court Street Lofts?
Back in the deezy, Court Street Lofts (née, 505 Court Street) was a favorite around here, but other than being used for background dressing, we haven't really mentioned the Carroll Gardens condo conversion since a huge price chop back in November. Sad. But this ad provides an interesting update. Corcoran and the developers are now accepting just a 5% down payment on the apartments, and they've instituted a revolutionary?yet completely useless?new function. If you text "CSL" to 67463, you can get the current 2br and 3br listings. We tried it out, opted for the 2brs, and were sent back three listings, including Unit 6J: 950sf with southern views and one bathroom for just $599,000. We replid back, "OMG k outdr spc? :)" but we've yet to hear back.
