It Can Compete With Any Luxury Condo, Except in Sales

For those that missed it in the comments thread RE: Vinegar Hill's much-hyped 99 Gold ditching the condo thing and going rental, some of the listings are now up over at Apts and Lofts. It seems a little ballsy to us to ask for over $3,000/month for a one-bedroom apartment in a failed condo development, but remember those luxury finishes and the half basketball court. That being said, this Craigslist ad still made us snicker:

Aptsandlofts.com exclusively presents this one of a kind rental development in the extremely hot DUMBO/historic Vinegar Hill area. Apartments are flooded with light -featuring wall to ceiling windows and luxury finishes that compete with ANY luxury condo development on the market today!! Plus just 2 blocks to the York F train. This Gorgeous 2 bedroom/2 bath is great for a couple or a share situation. There will be limited agents Available this Sunday to show this outstanding develpment and spaces are going fast. I will be taking appointments all Morning, afternoon and evening and spots are limited so call asap.Yes, it can compete with ANY luxury condo on the market today, because, well, it was one. Still, if anybody went to that open house, we'd love to hear how the brokers were spinning it in person. Do tell.
