Wild Turkey Roaming Streets of West Village

Turkey! Thanks to the special West Village correspondent who sent in the photo and reports:

A wild turkey was hanging out in the Time Landscape on Houston and

LaGuardia Place at about 9:30 a.m. this morning. She (I think) managed to jump the fence as I was taking pictures of her. She then started strolling east on Houston, perhaps to do some shopping. Some good samaritans ran interference so she wouldn't attempt to cross the road. At noon I saw her in a tree on W. 3rd St. just east of LaGuardia Place. We don't know if it's related to the Battery Park turkey, but we're glad to know it's okay.
