Rumblings & Bumblings: In the Navy Yard; Avant Chelsea

Rumblings & Bumblings our development game in which we pose reader questions about goings-on about town and wait for you to feed us the skinny. If you've got an answer to either of the reader queries below, leave a note in the comments. If you've got another question, or a sweet, sweet digital photograph, drop a line to tips@curbed.com. Answers in this space Thursday.

1) Navy Yard: From the vicinity of the new Dumbo, a reader writes, "Any idea what the status is with the hospital and grounds on the east side of the navy yard (above)? We live across the street. It looks like an arboretum - beautiful trees, lots of birds, gorgeous landscaping. All we could find online is this: 'East Side District: This zone is comprised of extensive, developable property, including the recently acquired grounds of the former Naval Hospital. The district could accommodate a mix of industrial, film studio, office and retail facilities.'"
2) WilliamsburgChelsea: "Any info on the new development going up on 19th street close to 8th ave called 'Avant,'" asks another reader. "[B]ig green signs out front but I haven't seen any info about it on Curbed...another West Chelsea/Highline site???" This one sounds a little too familiar, but we trust you'll remind us if it is.
