Second Life LES Launched; No Room for Chrystie St.

As we previously hinted, Vice magazine's bizarre Second Life/MySpace/corporate integration experiment vLES (for Virtual Lower East Side, 'natch) has gone live, so feel free to set your hipster avatar loose on Ludlow Street. The introductory video starts off with a bang, with some exterior shots of Katz's Deli and a dude sitting in Max Fish who says, "This neighborhood is basically a mecca for every music loving suburban kid growing up in the country." Perhaps, but these kids will grow up with some fucked up geography: the 205 Club is on Orchard Street on the VLES map. What, did Chrystie Street's location just west of the Hell Square cutoff not sit well with Vice's cartographers? For you lazy punk rock fans, Against Me! is playing the virtual Cake Room tomorrow.
