Trinity Church Throws a Teardown Party on Canal

Trinity Church owns some big chunks of property downtown, thanks to England's Queen Anne and a nice bequest from 1705. Now one of those chunks in Hudson Square is being cleared. And what a sweet chunk it is, sitting at the intersection of SoHo, Tribeca and Hudson Square. It's right across from Enrique Norten's space-age super-condo 1 York, just down the street from Trump's Super Slab and only a short stroll from the finally-rising-out-of-the-ground Zinc condo at Greenwich and Canal. When the two remaining buildings come down on this block bounded by Sixth Avenue, Grand, Varick and Canal Streets then this lot will sit wide open, ready for development. Anyone with a link to a higher power and info on this site: please send us a tip.
