Following up on yesterday's post about the latest in the War to Preserve the Private Garden at 1 Sutton Place South, we thought it might be fun to take a look at the lush lawn from above. Courtesy Google Earth, there we have it: that's East 57th Street coming in from the upper left; Sutton Place to the building's rear, and the (covered) FDR Drive hugging the East River. Oh, and one detail from the dailies' coverage today: should the courts rule that the city can snag the land, the co-op wants $10 million for the inconvenience. Ballsy.
