Carroll Gardens #2: Smith Street Building Fallout Continues

Remember that building at 360 Smith Street whose early Heavy Metal rendering made a big impression on the neighbors? It turns out that it's spawned an online petition calling for an overall neighborhood rezoning and a moratorium on new buildings over 50 feet in height until it happens, a new Carroll Gardens Petition blog and a new neighborhood group called CORD (Carroll Gardens COalition to Respectfully Develop, no website...yet). Of itself, the new group writes, ""We are a group of concerned residents and homeowners who do not want their quality of life and value of their property destroyed by voracious developers." No word on whether the group will get involved with the, uh, voracious rats cavorting at another Carroll Gardens building a few blocks' worth of scampers away.
