This glimpse is the first we've seen from inside the Lollipop Building, aka 2 Columbus Circle, since the controversial renovation of the Edward Durrell Stone classic into the new home for the Museum of Art and Design began. The NYT serves up a great slideshow of the work underway as part of a story on the progress; says renovation architect Brad Cloepfil of his ongoing work, "Essentially what we've done is take away as much of the building as possible without totally restructuring it."
