StreetsBlog takes pleasure in pointing out a little 'historic sidewalk widening' at N. 7th and Bedford in Williamsburg today, noting that it's the "first time ever in New York City that on-street car parking spaces have been eliminated to make way for bicycle parking." So, for these five minutes, at least, the bicycles win one, with 25 new bike parking spaces and a couple less car parking spaces in Billyburg.
