It's been nine long months since iconic music venue CBGB packed it in on the Bowery. Now, comes chef Daniel Boulud to co-opt commemorate the fallen venue with a new restaurant, now in the planning stages, bearing the name DBGB—short for Daniel Boulud Good Burger or, as we're inclined to call it, Damn Boulud's Got Balls, given the $29 pricepoint on the hamburger he plans to serve. If the above photo illustration doesn't make it clear enough, the new resto will be situated firmly inside the Avalon Bowery Place apartment complex, with views across the Liz Chrystie Garden to its south. The new Bowery—Jesus, what a trip.
