On the Racked: Bowery Whole Foods Getting Kinda Desperate

And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Lower East Side: Are things perhaps a little worse than they seem at Bowery Whole Foods? The place has looked emptier to us than one might have expected, and now comes word that they're serving brunch. Okay, fair enough. But add to that an absurd PR campaign today to brand the joint as a singles scene and, hmm.... troubling. Somewhat troubling indeed.

2) Soho: Via erstwhile blogger The Shophound, we learn that with little to no fanfare whatsoever, multi-label boutique Amalga has popped up on Wooster between Prince and Spring. The store stocks brands like Veronique Branquinho, Agatha Leather and Paula Thomas for TW as well as quite a few less-well-known designers.

3) Midtown East: Doest thou seekest the anti-aging beauty serum Boots No7, to which fans ascribe almost mythic qualities? Tomorrow may be your lucky day.

4) Citywide: If you like sales, you'll swoon for Racked's newest feature, The Dealfeed.
