Remember the city's effort to toss the Red Hook Container Port so that it could build everything from a bigger cruise ship port to beer gardens and hotels? The plan has been a very on-and-off thing. Now, it looks like it's off again. At least, there's a report that the city is no longer looking to give the container port the boot. There's no word on what part of the redo might survive--although it looks like an expansion of the cruise ship terminal is sunk. New plans are "being formulated."
