Scarano Not Making Fans on Smith St. and Beyond

The concept rendering above for the project at 360 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens seems to be a tipping point of sorts for Robert Scarano haters. Once the DOB approved plans for 360 Smith, a new wave of criticism was unleashed on the controversial architect, who is no stranger around these parts. We already mentioned that a local City Council member has been dipping his toe in the Scarano cesspool, and now he's ramping it up. This morning at the Department of Buildings on Joralemon Street, councilman Bill de Blasio and some other activists and officials will call on the DOB to stop work on all Scarano projects while the investigations into the architects' practices continues. De Blasio also wants Scarano's license to be stripped. The real reason we mention this is because we're hoping Scarano will show up and challenge his critics, which?according to his ever-changing Wikipedia page?he's been known to do.
