Let's greet the holiday week with a dash of CurbedWire, yes?
DUMBO/BROOKLYN HEIGHTS—The AP reported early this afternoon, "A construction worker has fallen off a scaffold in Brooklyn Monday, according to authorities. Fire officials say the worker was taken to a hospital in very serious condition after the fall shortly after noon. The accident happened at Front Street near Cadman Plaza West and the Brooklyn Bridge. The worker's condition wasn't immediately available." [CurbedWire]
LOWER EAST SIDE— Our fascination with the new New Museum on Bowery knows no bounds. So here's another pic (right) of the increasingly bizarre facade, courtesy of a tipster. [CurbedWire Inbox]
GOWANUS—A tipster emails, "a very mod but strange looking hotel called le bleu was just completed in park slope-ish brooklyn. it sticks out so badly and is really strange." We've covered Le Bleu recently (click for photo), but NewYorkology reports today that opening has been pushed back to July 16, with the rooftop restaurant/bar put off until fall.
