On the Racked: Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs Continue Unchecked Spread; Trader Joe's Gets Signage, More!!

And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Citywide: Does the world need 148 Juicy Couture stores? Wrong question. Does Manhattan need dozens more Lucky, Kate Spade and Juicy Couture stores? Hell yes! There's word today on rumored new locations for the fashion brands. Is your neighborhood in the hotzone?

2) West Village: Seriously, what's the deal with Marc Jacobs unholy love for Bleecker Street? At the rate he's going—a new space at 382 Bleecker is looking set for a late-August opening—the entire street will be Marc'd by 2012. The funny thing about 382 Bleecker, though, is that no one seems to know exactly what he's going to sell there. Our guess: farmed human organs. Upscale farmed human organs.

3) Times Square: Judge rules butt billboard illegal. Somewhere, Dov Charney cowers.

4) Rego Park: The signage is up at the Queens Trader Joe's! That's rather... uhhh.
