Northern End of City Hall Park Reopens, w/Benches Galore!

This morning, the northern section of City Hall Park surrounding the Tweed Courthouse—closed to the public since September 2001—reopened to the public. When Curbed operatives dropped by late last week to survey the scene, workers were feverishly installing new benches along the pathways of the park, as seen somewhat haltingly in the photograph above. Anyone strolled the newly rejuvenated alleés today? Boss Tweed ghost sightings welcome to the tipline.
