Since 1977, the iconic image of Peck Slip has been artist Richard Haas's trump l'oeil artwork on the blank side of the large ConEd substation. Haas's personal site offers the intriguing before image above of the wall that now carries the eye past the building out to the Brooklyn Bridge. Also, we used to own that El Camino.
