We don't often get to Jamaica (the one in Queens), but the Mother of all Rezonings is likely to hit that neighborhood today. The plan is for a 368-block area, and the Sun reports that it's likely to pass today "paving the way for the development of hotels, offices, and commercial space." The rezone will allow up to three million square feet of commercial space and 5,200 units of housing. It's the city's biggest rezone, apparently. Like most, it is not universally loved, however.
