Adios to Dumbo's Los Papi's, Buenos Dias to Karl Fischer

It's been a few weeks since we've noted some development news out of Dumbo, but today we get a shot courtesy of Dumbo NYC, which posted about a seven-story building that will go up at 77 Bridge Street. A commenter there noted that plans were quietly filed with the Department of Buildings during the summer season, and indeed, they were, but haven't been approved. What--the makes the building interesting, though, is that it's going to be another Karl Fischer. This will be Mr. Fischer's second relatively recent project in the same area--the Vista Condo at 206 Front Street is also his work. The developer of 77 Bridge, meanwhile, is also putting up a building at 91-93 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, across the street from Williamsburg's "wet dream," 80 Metropolitan. The new 77 Bridge, which will be seven floor and 11 condos, will mean that Los Papi's restaurant is going.
