There are new plans--or, at least, suggestions--for making over Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. The big document is the result of a collaboration between the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and the Project for Public Spaces, the footwork for which has been done over the last two years. It's hard to know where it's heading in terms of making the jump from paper to pavement, but it includes things like more "plaza-like" intersections with added space for pedestrians and, even, actual public plazas. It won't be long before somebody suggests a MePa-style or Dumbo-style piazza.
