Just when we were wiping tears because of the possible demise of the big waterpark on Randall's Island comes a consolation prize in the form of some new skateparks in Williamsburg, Coney Island and other neighborhoods. One of the big ones will be a $700,000 park in McCarren Park in Williamsburg. Another was mentioned earlier this week for the new Steeplechase Plaza the city will be creating in Coney Island. So, will Williamsburg have bowling, a future movie theater, a McCarren Pool with water and a skatepark, and new Coney Island condo owners will have a place to skateboard. What more could anyone want?
