Most little neighborhood cleanups aren't noted, unless the neighborhood is Prospect Heights and the property being cleaned up has to do with the Atlantic Yards mega-development. Then, somebody will notice. So it was that a handful of people muttering things about "Ratner filth" and "blight" came out to cut down four-foot high weeds and pick up bottles, cans and trash along Pacific Street, which would be the spine of the big project. The take, according to Atlantic Yards Report, was "17 42-gallon bags of garbage, a large assemblage of weeds and greenery for composting (below), and 13 bags of recyclables." AYR also reports that someone from the Department of Sanitation stopped by and said it "might stop back."
