Who Will Front for Thor in Coney Island Now?

We don't do a lot of who's who development stuff, but a tipster tells us that Coney Island developer Joe Sitt and his PR firm The Marino Organization have parted ways. We don't know whether Mr. Sitt & Thor Equities are the dumpers or the dumpees, but we do know that the Coney Island PR strategy has zigzagged bizarrely from in-your-face public fights with city officials to kinder & gentler outreach with a lot of strange press leaks in between. Curiously, the breakup comes as negotiations between the city and the developer are at a key point. Does it mean Thor has lost its fight with the city? Will it now carry an even bigger hammer or velvet gloves? Stay tuned.
