Tough Park Slope Raccoon Gets Death Sentence

Over the long weekend one of Brooklyn's many raccoons wandered up to a woman in Prospect Park and tried to dine on her thigh. Today's New York Post reports that the biting raccoon has paid the ultimate price for his crime: death. After the biting incident, the raccoon was busted; it wasn't rabid, but was euthanized for violating social norms. The Parks Commissioner advises that "If you see a raccoon coming toward you walk the other way. These are tough New York City raccoons." Hopefully, the South Slope chickens are nicer.
